Part-owner and executive chef of The Grounds Ben Bayly has worked as a senior chef at Michelin-starred restaurants in London and Paris, hosted My Kitchen Rules New Zealand and is executive chef at The Grove and Baduzzi. The Grove is a two-time winner of Metro’s Restaurant of the Year Award. He has brought that wealth of experience to The Grounds to create a truly special dining experience.


Mike “The Russian” Shatura has spent the past 18 years working in the best restaurants in Auckland, and the last five as the Head Chef of The Grove.

Mike was indispensable in achieving the numerous ‘best restaurant’ accolades the Grove received. He’s now putting his impressive knowledge of all things food into creating a truly one of a kind dining experience at The Grounds.


Becs works in a business development role to introduce The Grounds and Whoa! Studios as a functions and events space.  She has 15 years experience in sales and marketing within the business events industry.
