MAKE A BOOKING
We’re currently taking bookings of up to 12 people online.
If you would like to bring a custom cake for your special day, please keep in mind that there is a cake fee that starts at $20. This fee covers the use of our supplies, which include plates, cutlery, napkins, and a knife to help you serve the cake conveniently.
Alternatively, we offer three types of cakes: Banana, Carrot, and Chocolate, each priced at $65. These cakes are designed to serve approximately 24 people, making them a great option for larger gatherings. You are welcome to bring your own cake toppers to personalise your cake. If you would like us to add writing on the cake, please note that there is an additional charge of $8 for this service.
To ensure availability, make sure to place your cake order at least 5 days before your booking date. This allows us to prepare your cake fresh and have everything ready for your celebration.

Credit Card Policy
A valid Visa or MasterCard is required to confirm bookings of 10 people or more. To verify card details, a temporary authorisation may be placed at the time of booking- but no charges will apply at this point.
Cancellations & No Shows
Please cancel or update your booking at least 24 hours in advance.
Late changes or no-shows will incur a $20 per person fee, including for reduced group numbers (e.g. if you book for 10 and only 8 attend without prior notice). Please note the restaurant will not charge you if you have booked a kids’ birthday party, and you have fewer guests than expected.
Adding your card details can not pay your bill on the day of your booking. You must pay on the day in the restaurant.
If exceptional circumstances prevent you from contacting us (e.g. illness or flight delays), please get in touch as soon as possible at dining@thegrounds.co.nz.

Our reservation system is powered by Eveve, and payments are securely processed via Stripe, adhering to the highest data protection standards globally.
